Conversation Tours are six-week live Italian experiences for adults who want to use the Italian they have while discovering something new. We explore together through images, objects, stories, places, music, and conversation.

No textbook chapters. No vocabulary lists to memorize before you arrive.

Follow the small lights of Italy.

Over six Saturdays, we’ll travel through Italian places and stories by following light: a lamp in a window, candles in a church, fire in a festival, sunlight on a landscape, lights appearing at dusk.

Each light gives us somewhere new to look—and something new to talk about.

Designed for learners who can already communicate in Italian and want more opportunities to notice, interpret, describe, wonder, and discuss.

Sometimes Italy is hiding in the smallest things.

A moka. A fountain. A tram ticket. A beach umbrella. The spoon beside your coffee.

In this six-week Conversation Tour, we’ll explore le cose di tutti i giorni—the ordinary objects and little encounters that make everyday Italian life recognizable.

We’ll look closely, notice things together, and use what we discover to practice Italian you can actually say.

Che cos’è? Come funziona? Dove lo troviamo? Ti piace? Hai notato…?

A welcoming place for newer Italian speakers to practice speaking without needing to know everything first.

Language Adventures Start Here

La.bella.lingua.nel.bosco is an online Italian-language learning community that focuses on a learner-centered communicative language-learning practice. We are here for all learners of the Italian language who feel the need for intentional and sustainable support on their path to speaking Italian.

Our topically themed conversation hours are ideal for advanced beginner to advanced intermediate learners. Enjoy learning about Italian culture while engaging with a playful instructor created communication practice designed to encourage participation.

Our private lessons are available to learners of the Italian language of all levels. We work with our learners to curate individualized lessons that work for your goals, learning styles & preferences, and pace of life.

We offer translation services for those who do not require a certified translation. This is a great resource for those who wish to have better access to family history through old letters, recipes and other written heirlooms.
